Albion Square open for business

The Yorkshire-based construction and development company has seen its gross profit increase by 23% to £70m and net assets grow to £202m year-on-year in its latest financial year results, citing growth throughout the country for its success. 

Market Asset Management operates the grade two-listed building, which has gone through two years of restoration and will be home to a range of local businesses. 

Code Building Solutions will carry out the works on the grade one-listed building, part of a wider £17.5m regeneration project taking place in the town. 

Leeds City Council will consider the football club’s potential expansion plans to increase the stadium to 56,500 capacity, believing it could unlock up to £1bn of investment into the area, and will be asked to approve entering into an MoU with the club’s development partner.

The former healthcare facility on Heslington Road, York, is being developed by PJ Livesey and will have conversions within the grade two-listed buildings, while new homes will be built on the north east side of the estate. 

Sheffield’s largest retail park went on the market back in September with a £51m price tag, and has now been snapped up by Hines UK. 

Chris Binns has been appointed as planning director in Leeds, with a remit to spearhead the company’s ‘grid-led’ approach to energy project planning. 

Having been delayed due to a new ventilation system being installed, work is now underway on Kapital Beer Hall within the Heart of the City development.

The agency division of GV&Co handled the letting, which sees the firm double the size of its operational base across Yorkshire.
