Pegasus moves into Leeds city centre
The consultancy has taken almost 4,000 sq ft at Capitol, Bond Court, with the aim of strengthening its presence in the North and targeting metropolitan locations.
CBRE acted as agents for the deal, which is let on a five-year lease.
Pegasus has recently added to its planning, environment, and heritage teams, and is planning to add an urban design arm to its offering.
Leeds is a key Pegasus centre for renewable energy, with the firm working with clients from across the UK on solar, wind, and bioenergy projects.
To build on this, Pegasus appointed Leeds-based planning director Chris Binns in April, to spearhead the consultancy’s ‘grid-led’ approach to help renewable developers secure land and connection as early as possible in compliance with the government’s new National Energy System Operator.
The firm has worked on a number of other Yorkshire-based projects recently, including a mixed use commercial and residential development at Barnsley West; the Clifton Enterprise Zone near Brighouse that has created new employment opportunities; and Our Cultural Heart in the centre of Huddersfield.
The office will house Pegasus’ 40+ team, and follows similar movements in Newcastle, Bristol, Cambridge, and Edinburgh, where Pegasus has moved into larger premises.
