Drakehouse acquired for £50.75m

Sheffield’s largest retail park went on the market back in September with a £51m price tag, and has now been snapped up by Hines UK.

The 17-acre estate was previously owned by 90 North Real Estate Partners, and comprises 232,000 sq ft spread across 17 units located around a 785-space central car park.

Tenants include B&M, Currys, Halfords, Starbucks, and JD Sports, and the park has an annual passing rent of £3.8m, or £16.34/sq ft.

Green & Partners advised Hines on the sale, while JLL and Font Real Estate acted for the seller.

Moving forward, Curson Sowerby and Font Real Estate will act as joint agents for the retail park.
