Enabling works underway at Mode 18
Wakefield-based HJ Consulting has been appointed by Premcor Estates to provide civil and structural engineering services for the 43-acre Mode 18 development in Rossington, Doncaster.
The scheme secured planning approval last month, and is targeting practical completion of the £27.5m first phase in August.
Located three miles south of Doncaster, adjacent to the M18 motorway and close to iPort Logistics Park, the site will deliver a pre-let, electric vehicle-ready logistics yard.
Outline consent is also in place for up to 450,000 sq ft of industrial, warehousing, and logistics space.
Enabling works are now under way, including the construction of a new 0.75km link road that will provide direct access from the main highway network into the site.
HJ Consulting’s scope includes ground engineering and highway design, alongside drainage design, hydraulic modelling, SUDS design, flood risk assessment and overall drainage strategy.
The wider project team features ID Planning’s Sheffield office, C4 Architects as lead designer, and Knight Frank and BNP Paribas as advisers.
Howard Civil Engineering has been appointed to deliver the first phase of works, including the new access road and the 17.5-acre pre-let logistics yard.
