BHT bolsters ranks, broadens offer

The Yorkshire consultancy has brought in industrial agency stalwart Nick Arundel, while Dai Powell has joined to run the newly-formed land and development arm.

Arundel will work alongside directors Scott Morrison and Morgan Grimshaw to bolster the Leeds-headquartered firm’s regional presence.

With 46 years of property experience, he brings a wealth of market intelligence to the firm. He previously co-founded and directed Leeds firm AWS, advising on major commercial developments across West Yorkshire.

Scott Morrison, head of agency at BHT, said: “Nick joins BHT at a pivotal moment of strategic expansion and investment. His deep market experience, decades of knowledge, and enviable client network introduce a powerful new dynamic to our business. His presence will undoubtedly elevate our service offering and deliver exceptional value to our clients.”

The group has also formed a new company, BHT Land & Development, with Powell joining as a shareholder and director to run this service line, which will advise the residential land and housing sectors on development and delivery strategy, disposals, acquisitions, valuation, viability and other specialist work.

Powell joins from his previous position as director, land & development at Avison Young, where he spent 14 years. He also previously worked for Drivers Jonas.

BHT Land & Development will sit alongside BHT Ltd and BHT Building Consultancy Ltd to provide advice to existing and new clients.

Director David Brackenridge said: “We are delighted to have Dai onboard. Throughout our initial discussions I’ve been impressed by his professionalism, enthusiasm, experience, and landowner and housebuilding industry contacts. BHT L&D ideally complements our existing businesses whilst continuing to drive expansion.”
