Persimmon appoints UK land director for premium brand
The York-based housebuilder is looking to grow its Charles Church division, and has hired David McGing to the role.
He will focus on growing the brand across the UK and raising its profile.
McGing joins from Bloor Homes, where he was divisional land director for five years.
Prior to that, he worked for Persimmon between 2010 and 2020, including as land director for the South Midlands, where he was responsible for sourcing new land opportunities across Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, and Herefordshire.
McGing has more than 30 years of experience in land management, including as land buyer for Kier Group, land manager for Beazer Homes, senior land manager for Crest Nicholson, land director for Chase Midlands, and land director at Crosby Lend Lease.
Persimmon acquired Charles Church in 2001, as part of a larger deal when it purchased Beazer Homes.
Commenting on his appointment David said: “It’s an exciting time for the brand and I look forward to playing my part in growing the business.”
Liam Scott, UK managing director Charles Church said: “David’s skills and experience will be a real asset as we look to deliver ambitious plans to grow our reinvigorated Charles Church brand. I look forward to working with him.”
