Two Yorkshire promotions at Civic Engineers
Billy Brand and Tom Audsley have been promoted to associate level at the civil, structural and transport engineering consultancy.
Brand and Audsley are chartered structural engineers and will be based at the company’s Leeds office.
With a background in historic buildings and mixed-use residential-led masterplans, Brand has been at Civic for almost three years and previously worked as a senior structural engineer at Pell Frischmann.
He has worked on the refurbishment of Wakefield’s grade two-listed Rutland Mills and on the Climate Innovation District in Leeds, a large-scale sustainable urban living project.
Audsley was previously a project engineer at Curtins and has worked at Civic for three years. He has worked on a range of new builds and refurbishments, including The Store House, a retail and student development at Briggate in Leeds.
Audsley also supported the City of York Council in the delivery of one of the UK’s largest zero carbon housing developments.
Leah Stuart, director at Civic Engineers, commented: “Tom and Billy are incredibly talented and passionate about leaving a legacy through their engineering.
“Their commitment to adopting creative and innovative solutions inspires others and has shaped some of the region’s most notable developments that are responding to the climate crisis and improving people’s quality of life for the better.”
The latest promotions coincide with a period of growth for Civic Engineers, with 15 promotions being made across the business.
The practice’s other projects in Yorkshire include Park Hill in Sheffield and Cocoa Works, the residential development on the site of former Rowntree Factory in York.
Alongside its Leeds studio at Saw Mill Street, the practice has studios in Manchester, London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Dublin.
