Tootle makes move to CBRE
Formerly head of retail & leisure at Bruntwood Works, James Tootle has been appointed as director in the consultancy’s Northern retail team.
Tootle will work across CBRE’s Northern business. He joins after ten years at Bruntwood where he was head of retail & leisure for town centres and consumer brands at Bruntwood Works.
At CBRE, James will be joining a retail team covering the firm’s Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds offices, led by Stephen Proudley, head of Northern retail.

Having joined Bruntwood as a retail surveyor in 2014, Tootle was promoted in 2020, and has played an instrumental part in projects such as the redevelopment of Stretford Mall with Trafford Council.
