Pagabo announces £1bn refurb framework winners
A total of 93 companies have been appointed to the national Refit and Refurbishment Framework, including 63 SMEs.
Pagabo’s framework has a value of £1bn and is spread out across five value-based plots ranging from £50,000 to £15m+. The framework will run for four years.
“With the focus on meeting net zero targets, many clients are becoming increasingly aware of the role refit and refurbishment will have on emissions across their assets and estates,” said Pagabo chief procurement officer Jason Stapley.
“It’s why it was so important to us to work with existing client organisations, specialists, and the contracting authority to make sure this second-generation framework was absolutely fit for purpose,” he continued.
Stapley went on to describe why the number of suppliers on the framework had increased to 93 suppliers from 20 in its last iteration.
“The big increase in suppliers is down to a higher level of SME appointment than the original framework – something we’re dedicated to increasing all the time,” he explained.
“We know that locality breeds the best social value possible, with SMEs and microbusinesses being absolutely central to this. We’re very much looking forward to seeing the first procurements come through the framework, and to see the difference all these suppliers will be able to make for clients and communities around the UK.”
There are various familiar regional names among the successful companies, not least of them Henry Boot Construction, which announced in March it is to relocate its headquarters back into Sheffield city centre.
