Coworking lounge comes to Steel City
Scarborough Group has opened a business space at the stadium in Sheffield, located on the Olympic Legacy Park and aimed at people working in the health, sport, and wellbeing industries.
Stadium Workspace already hosts more than 30 organisations, including MediLink, UK NEQAS, and the Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA.
It sits at the heart of Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, an 80-acre science and innovation campus that combines sport, applied research, clinical expertise, and education.
A performance nutrition café is also at the venue, as well as hot desks, breakout spaces, and private booths.
This is the latest investment from SGI on the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park scheme, of which it is the development partner.
The business lounge and café has cost £500,000, adding to the more than £10m invested so far.
A partnership with Sheffield Technology Parks means that members get access to business support and funding guidance for teams looking to tap into the health, sport, and wellbeing innovation ecosystem.
“This launch is a major step forward in our long-term vision for the Park,” said Ian Sanderson, Estates and Development Consultant at SGI.
“By opening up the ground floor of the Stadium, we’re creating far more than just workspace, we’re building a connected, collaborative environment where people can meet, share ideas and spark new partnerships.
“It’s about supporting innovation, community and economic growth all in one place.”
