MoD and NHS to open Catterick Garrison healthcare facility
The first-of-its-kind partnership between the Ministry of Defence and the National Health Service will treat both military personnel and the public in Richmondshire, North Yorkshire.
Tilbury Douglas was appointed on the scheme in 2021, and has designed and constructed the Catterick Integrated Care Centre.
Construction started on site in March last year, an now face completion has been achieved the health centre is on track to open in summer 2026.
CICC received £110m of funding and is the largest collaborative partnership between the NHS and military to date.
The facility will aim to treat around 1,000 people per day, with around 75% military and 25% NHS patients.
Services that will be offered include primary care, rehabilitation, dentistry, mental health support and specialist treatment.
Col Tariq Ahmad, regional clinical director, said: “The project represents a great investment in the people and the place, Catterick Garrison and North Yorkshire.
