Inditex opens further 22,000 sq ft at Meadowhall

The retail company has expanded its presence at the Sheffield shopping centre with the opening of two new stores: a 13,000 sq ft Pull&Bear and a 9,000 sq ft Stradivarius.

The signings take Inditex’s total footprint to more than 70,000 sq ft, including the recent Zara and Bershka openings.

Both openings are regional debuts in Yorkshire, and are in neighbouring units on Lower Level High Street.

Meadowhall has 1.4m sq ft of floor space and is managed by British Land, which previously owned a 50% share in the shopping centre before being bought out by Norges Bank Investment Management in 2024 for around £360m. NBIM manages Norway’s sovereign wealth fund.

Richard Crowther, retail leasing director at British Land, said: “Stradivarius and Pull&Bear are compelling additions to our retail mix.

“They enhance the breadth of our fashion offer and again prove Meadowhall’s regional dominance, with two more Yorkshire debuts for international brands.

“Meadowhall reaches 20% of the UK’s population, and refreshing our tenant mix with exciting international names such as these means we are providing that vast catchment with access to an unrivalled collection of the best brands.”

Went to Meadow hall recently and thought it was much nicer than the Trafford Centre.
