Cushman & Wakefield appoints Yorkshire and North East industrial lead
Jake Pygall joins from Avison Young, where he spent nine years advising clients on acquisitions, disposals, development, and strategic planning for industrial properties and employment land across Yorkshire and the North Midlands.
Now, he will lead Cushman & Wakefield’s logistics and industrial team and will focus on supporting the firm’s occupier, developer, and investor clients across Yorkshire and the North East.
Prior to his time at Avison Young, where he rose to director level, Pygall was a chartered surveyor at Ryden for two years.
He began his career with a three-year stint as a commercial agent at Christie + Co.
Pygall will continue to be based in Leeds.
Richard Evans, head of UK logistics & industrial at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “We are delighted to welcome Jake to our team.
“Following a strong recovery in 2025, market momentum is building, and his expertise will be invaluable as we support clients navigating this growth.
“Last year, Yorkshire and the Humber saw demand almost double to 4.7m sq ft, while the North East recorded a 35% increase.
“Looking ahead, Yorkshire and the Humber is set to play a central role in high-growth sectors, underpinned by strategic investment zones, two freeports, and advanced manufacturing clusters.”
Pygall, partner in Cushman & Wakefield’s I&L team, said: “It is an exciting time to join Cushman & Wakefield. I’m looking forward to collaborating with the talented team to help clients achieve their ambitions – from new market entrants to established businesses expanding their UK footprints.”
