And finally… sweet moves

Architecture practice ArkleBoyce has submitted tasty plans to return the former home of the Terry’s Chocolate dynasty in York to its former glory.

Together with the owners of the listed 17th century home at 23 Tadcaster Road – which has been a care home and guest house – ArkleBoyce is hoping to undo recent harm to the character and charm of the original house. As well as restoring interior features there will be a distinctive contemporary single storey extension to the rear.

Leeds-based ArkleBoyce is already on site with refurbishment of the coach house on the site under a previous planning consent.
