And finally… Life on the Lane
Could Sheffield United fans be tempted to take a punt at Bond Wolfe’s next auction? An apartment just yards from the Blades’ Bramall Lane home is up for grabs with a starting price of just £5,000.
Thst seems incredibly low, but bear in mind this is an auction, the bidding for Kylian Mbappe probably started out at peanuts at some point in his youth.
Bond Wolfe said that potential buyers’ interest could be even more focused when they see that Apartment 14 at 323 Bramall Lane currently generates £9,000 rent a year, or £750 per month if you prefer.
The auction will be livestreamed, with remote bidding allowed, on 10 September.
Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe, said: “What we have here is a one-bedroomed apartment to the south of Sheffield city centre with an eye-catching financial situation where the annual rent outstrips the guide price.
“Competitive bidding, of course, may well see this lot selling for much more than its £5,000 listing, but it’s still a very tempting proposition, especially for anyone with an interest in The Blades.”
Apartment 14 has a hall, open plan kitchen and living room, bedroom and bathroom and is for sale leasehold, subject to the existing tenancy.
