State Street Investment snaps up Ripon retail park
St Michael’s is let to an 11,000 sq ft M&S and Next and was on the market for £8.1m.
Knight Frank acted for the vendor, Rothstone Estates, while TW Keil represented State Street.
The 24,000 sq ft North Yorkshire retail park is let to M&S, Next, and an EV charging operator, secured for the next 12 years.
The park was designed by The Harris Partnership and cost £10m to develop in 2020.
A joint venture between developer CDP Marshall and retail and leisure specialist Rothstone, the park is located on Rotary Way off the A61 Ripon bypass.
Speaking at its launch in 2020, Mark Rothery, managing director of Rothstone, commented: “This is the first major new retail floorspace to open in Ripon in around a decade and presents an attractive opportunity for potential occupiers seeking space in this affluent city.
“The potential for growth in Ripon is enormous. It’s a well visited city with a principal retail catchment way beyond Ripon itself and being close to the A61 and A1M, has a significant population within a 20 minute drive time.
“There has been strong interest in the other space already and we hope to announce more occupiers shortly.”
