Esh appointed on Brighouse revamp 

The construction firm will be tackling the £19.1m transformation of the town centre, redesigning the layout and creating new traffic routes to create a safer place for people to spend time and money.

The scheme began to be developed in 2019 and has been funded through the Towns Fund.

The Industry 4.0 Hub at Calderdale College is providing manufacturing and digital skills support, while the rebuilding of Brighouse Market is almost complete.

The layout changes undertaken by Esh will be the final piece of the town’s regeneration puzzle.

The aim of the Town Deal improvement work in the town centre is to develop public areas so they are more welcoming, encourage more people to frequently visit the town centre, and provide a quality event and community space at the historic Thornton Square.

The Brighouse Deal is a joint project between the town’s private and voluntary sector, community and residents’ groups, Calderdale Council, and Calderdale College.
