Yorkshire Water engages market for £3bn infrastructure programme
The company is beginning to shape its delivery strategy for works across AMP9 and AMP10 and is inviting contractors, consultants, and suppliers to help inform the procurement model for the proposed 10-year framework.
The framework is expected to run from April 2028 to March 2038. As part of the early market engagement exercise, Yorkshire Water is seeking feedback on supplier capability and capacity, procurement and lotting structures, commercial models, incentive mechanisms, and opportunities to improve innovation and collaboration throughout the supply chain.
The programme is anticipated to deliver around £330m of infrastructure investment each year, covering a wide range of water and wastewater projects across Yorkshire Water’s network.
Planned works are set to span water and sewerage pipelines, pumping stations, treatment works, drainage infrastructure, electrical installations, maintenance activities, and associated engineering design services.

The investment programme comes as Yorkshire Water faces continued scrutiny over its environmental performance, with the company acknowledging that pollution incidents remain an area requiring improvement and that customer satisfaction continues to be a key challenge.
