Taylor Emmet moves into 15,000 sq ft Sheffield HQ
Having signed the deal in June last year, the law firm has moved into the Isaacs Building, taking space for 150 desks and 16 meeting rooms across the seven-storey Edwardian building on Charles Street.
The move represents a reduction of 7,040 sq ft in Taylor Emmet’s overall office footprint, while providing a more flexible workspace for its Sheffield operation.
The Isaacs Building forms part of Sheffield City Council’s Heart of the City masterplan and retains its historic Victorian brick and terracotta façade on Pinstone Street.
The building was originally constructed between 1904 and 1905 for wallpaper merchant David Isaacs.
The redeveloped property has a BREEAM Very Good rating and is connected to Sheffield’s District Energy Network, providing a lower-cost energy source for occupiers.
Taylor Emmet’s new headquarters has been designed around flexible working, with open-plan workspace, meeting rooms, informal seating, and breakout areas.
The firm said the move represented a significant investment in its future in Sheffield and would provide an improved environment for both employees and clients.
