Sheffield’s Broomhill Shopping Centre goes under the hammer

With occupiers including Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Costa, and Boots, the 40,000 sq ft property will be auctioned with a guide price of £5.8m on 7 October.

Allsops will be marketing the shopping centre, which is located close to the University of Sheffield and generates a current rental income of £539,193 per year, via livestream.

At the guide price, the investment provides a gross initial yield of 9.3%.

Broomhill is one of Sheffield’s suburban retail destinations, situated on Fulwood Road (A57) and close to its junction with Whitham Road.

Measuring 39,619 sq ft, the centre comprises 12 shops, two supermarkets/convenience stores, rear servicing facilities, and rooftop parking for approximately 65 cars.

David Margolis, partner at Allsop Commercial Auctions, said: “We expect considerable interest in The Broomhill Shopping Centre, which is well located and connected, with a strong mix of national occupiers and established local tenants.

“It also offers attractive asset management opportunities. Assets of this scale and quality rarely come to market.”
