Robson moves across to take Keepmoat brief

Nigel Robson will head up the Yorkshire West land team for the housebuilder, arriving from subsidiary MCI Developments in the North West.

In his role as land and partnerships director, Robson will set the strategy for land acquisition, leading the delivery of regenerating towns across West Yorkshire and managing delivery targets in partnership with local authorities and housing associations.

Robson brings more than 30 years experience to the role, where he will work with regional managing director Chris Clingo.

Robson said: “I am thrilled to join Keepmoat Yorkshire West after leading on operations at MCI Developments. I am excited to join the team to secure and deliver partnership-led opportunities to fulfil the master land pipeline and strategic plan.

“I value Keepmoat’s people-based culture and strong track record for partnering with local authorities and housing associations on its developments. I am eager to continue contributing to its vision of building communities and transforming lives.’’

Keepmoat has multiple live developments across its Yorkshire West region, including sites in Batley, Sheffield, Leeds, Huddersfield, Bradford, Upton and South Elmsall. Keepmoat has built more than 35,000 homes in the last 90 years and has 60+ current developments across the country.

In Batley, the firm is delivering more than 300 homes on a 30-acre site off Soothill Lane. The start of phase two has just been announced, featuring affordable properties to be delivered with Incommunities, Leeds Federated and Kirklees Council.

In the east, preparatory works backed by Homes England have been started at Grimsby’s Alexandra Dock, where 130 homes could be built, subject to planning.
