Newpark to bring forward 60-apartment Sheffield site

The Manchester-based firm has secured permission to redevelop the 55,000 sq ft Cathedral Court offices in the city centre, having acquired the building last month.

Working alongside Peak Architects and Spring Planning, Newpark Group is looking to create 15 two-bed and 45 one-bed homes.

Targeting completion for August next year, the development is aiming to contribute to increased footfall around the Cathedral Quarter.

A spokesperson for Newpark Group commented: “We are delighted to have secured planning permission for Cathedral Court so soon after acquiring the building.

“This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality homes in the heart of Sheffield, supporting the city’s continued regeneration and transformation.

“Working closely with Peak Architects and Spring Planning, we have developed a scheme that responds sensitively to its surroundings while creating much-needed new homes.

“We look forward to bringing this project forward and playing our part in Sheffield’s growing city centre community.”
