Hobson & Porter completes £10m York care home
Delivered by the contractor for Brough-headquartered Yorkare, the 63-bedroom Haxby development is now open.
Approximately four miles north of York city centre, Haxby Hall is the 12th home in the Yorkare stable across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, with five more under construction.
This is the eighth scheme delivered for Yorkare by Hull firm Hobson & Porter since 2015.
In another York project, Yorkare secured consent in March for a £15m, 60-bed development on the former NHS Lime Trees site, working with York Sports Club.
Facilities at Haxby Hall include an in-house bar, beauty salon and hairdressing suite, cinema and outdoor terraces on each floor. There are also large gardens and a bowling green.
Nicola Anderson, marketing and community engagement manager from Yorkare, said “everyone has been blown away by the facilities and overall quality that flows through the entire development”.
Mark Smee, from Hobson & Porter, said: “We’re very proud to complete our eighth project for Yorkare in less than 10 years. Every detail at Haxby Hall, from the grand water fountains in the landscaped gardens to the magnificent communal areas, has been impeccably designed and speaks volumes about the standard of the whole development.”
