Vadella makes HEY its ninth acquisition

Wakefield-based HEY Service Group has been acquired by private equity-backed compliance conglomerate Vadella.

HEY Service Group is a nationwide specialist in extract, air and ventilation hygiene and fire damper compliance, delivering services including fire damper testing and HVAC inspection and cleaning to customers across the UK.

Geoff Hunt, managing director of HEY Service Group, commented: “We chose Vadella because it fits our culture and is already two-and-a-half years into the journey we wanted to take. HEY Service Group was founded in 2007 and provides a comprehensive range of specialist services, including kitchen extract system cleaning, ventilation hygiene and HVAC inspection and cleaning, and fire damper testing and remedial services.

HEY developed its own extract sealing solution, RZ-Clean-Seal, designed to help prevent grease build-up and reduce ongoing maintenance costs for customers.

HEY is a member of the Building Engineering Services Association, the Vent Hygiene Register and the European Ventilation Hygiene Association.

HEY will retain its existing name, leadership team and people, with Managing Director Geoff Hunt continuing to lead the business as it enters its next chapter of growth.

Vadella acquired building safety adviser Project Four earlier this year.
