Taylor Wimpey starts on 760 Wetherby homes

Located to the north of the racecourse, groundworks are underway and phase one of the development will start this summer.

Outline permission for up to 800 homes was granted in September 2021 and the development was approved in January 2023 by Leeds City Council.

Named Swinnow Park, the scheme will have a mix of two-, three-, four-, and five-bedroom houses and two-bedroom apartments.

The properties will all be gas-free and the homes in phase one will also have triple-glazing, EV charging points, wastewater heat recovery, and thermal door and window lintels.

Swinnow Park will also have green spaces, including maintained and wild planting, play areas, retail outlets, and a primary school.
