Start on site for Beal in Hull

More than a year after gaining approval, the developer has begun infrastructure works on its 52-acre site in the Kingswood neighbourhood.

The £120m development, maned King’s Crescent, will provide 450 homes on land west of Richmond Way.

The construction of roads and sewage systems is now underway, with housing to be delivered in two phases. Full planning permission has been granted for the first 214 homes, with outline in place for the remaining 236.

The first phase will be made up of two- to four-bedroom houses and will add to the 1,200 homes that Beal has built in Kingswood.

Andy Devine, construction director of East Yorkshire-based Beal, said: “We’ve now moved onto the King’s Crescent site and local residents can expect to see our experienced construction teams carrying out infrastructure works, including roads and sewers installation, over the coming weeks before the first homes begin to rise from the ground.

“As with all of our developments, we’re committed to ensuring work on site is carried out with minimal disruption to the surrounding community and with full consideration for local people.”
