Morgan Sindall selected for Leeds campus works
The contractor will deliver a capital works programme for the University of Leeds, refurbishing existing teaching facilities, entrances, roofing, and cladding, as well as creating student spaces.
Work will start in the coming weeks and will complete in late 2025.
Morgan Sindall will use its Intelligent Solutions platform, which uses digital design and modern construction methods to lower the carbon footprint of a project.
The works on the campus was won through the Procure Partnership.
Ben Hall, Morgan Sindall’s area director for Yorkshire, said: “The University of Leeds is one of the most important institutions in our region and we’re delighted to be appointed to help future-proof and upgrade its campus estate, creating an environment that will continue to provide an outstanding student experience.
Other recent projects for Morgan Sindall in Leeds include the Leeds Mathematics School (LMaS), which provides a specialist Post-16, A Level curriculum, with an emphasis on Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, which completed in 2023.
The contractor is currently on site at Leeds City Academy, where it is expanding the campus with a two-storey teaching block extension and a new dining hall.
