Kier appoints regional director for Yorkshire and North East

Steve Lynn will head up the construction business across the two patches, succeeding Dan Doherty, who is retiring.

Lynn has more than 25 years’ experience in the sector and has spent 20 of those with Kier, joining as a site manager and advancing up to operations director for the North East.

Throughout his career, he has worked across the education, healthcare, defence, commercial, and regeneration sectors, including in the delivery of several landmark projects in the North East.

This includes Sunderland Eye Hospital, one of the UK’s most advanced specialist eye care facilities, and the restoration and transformation of the award-winning, grade two-listed archives and exhibition centre, The Story in County Durham.

He has also helped strengthen Kier’s position across the North East region, supporting growth in both new and existing customer relationships.
