Ingleby Manor scheme goes again in Stockton

Plans for a 4,000 sq ft convenience store, 12,550 sq ft care home, and four retail units are once again recommended for approval at this week’s Stockton-on-Tees meeting, this time via a report from the planning officer.

Savills is supporting Tiviot Way Investments with its plans for a 60-bedroom care home, convenience foodstore, a parade of four retail stores, and four self-build plots on land at Little Maltby Farm in Ingleby Barwick.

Plans were previously discussed at a meeting in September, with the decision deferred and delegated to the planning officer.

The subsequent report found the scheme to be suitable, and so Tivot Way will be hoping for a green light this Wednesday.

The development will be located to the north of Melandra Road, close to Ingleby Barwick and around six miles south of Stockton itself.

The developer’s professional team also includes architect 3D Reid, Pegasus on highways, drainage engineer Queensberry, OS Ecology, Biodiverse Consulting and NID Environmental.

Previously, the proposals had included plans for 40 apartments, which have now been removed from the scheme.

The four nearby retail units will each be 1,000 sq ft with an outdoor terrace area, and parking will be allocated throughout the development.
