Esh breaks ground on Hull homes
The 65 affordable-home development is three miles from the city centre, and was brought forward in a £13.1m land-led deal in partnership with Together Housing.
Efficiency North were the land promoter for the site and Ward Hadaway provided Esh Construction with legal support in the land transaction.
The wider project team consists of Acanthus WSM Architects, Eastwood and Partners, and CPC Project Services.
The scheme is expected to complete in early 2027.
Located opposite the Freedom Centre, the scheme sits between Ryehill Grove and Wyton Grove.
The development will consist of 31 two-bed, 28 three-bed, and six four-bed homes with private gardens and parking.
Sixteen of the houses will be adapted for accessibility, with features such as a step-free access, increased circulation space, and potential for future changes including level access showers at ground floor in the three-bedroom homes.
Simon Woodward, operations director at Esh Construction, said: “This latest project builds on the success of two previous developments delivered by Esh in partnership with Together Housing, which have provided over 160 affordable homes in Halifax and Doncaster in the past two years.
“By utilising our land-led solution to bring the latest project forward, a huge collaborative effort has taken us through the planning phase, and we’re excited to see it take shape in the coming months.”
