Eddisons acquires Banks Long & Co
The Leeds-headquartered consultancy said that the Lincoln-based firm would boost its presence in the East Midlands and South Yorkshire.
Established in 1989, Banks Long & Co is a multi-disciplinary firm of consultants and surveyors with a headcount of 38. It will now integrate with Eddisons’ existing network of 25 UK offices.
Anthony Spencer, managing director of Eddisons, said: “I am very pleased to welcome the Banks Long & Co team to Eddisons, which extends our footprint into Lincolnshire and enhances our existing presence in Eastern England and South Yorkshire.
“The Banks Long & Co team are highly experienced with a proven track record in delivering high quality professional advice to public and private sector clients. We continue to seek further opportunities for expansion across the UK.”
Eddisons’ parent group Begbies Traynor said that the acquisition is in line with the group strategy of strengthening the existing offering and footprint in Eastern England and South Yorkshire, following the acquisitions of Sheffield-based Mark Jenkinson & Co in March this year and East of England firm Budworth Hardcastle in June 2022.
The acquisition, for an initial £1.5m with a potential earn-out of the same value, is expected to be immediately earnings enhancing, Begbies said.
