Care specialist launches development arm
Lendal Developments has been established by Chris Lane, chairman of Cottingham-based Burghley Care, with a pipeline of 10 care homes already in progress.
Based in York, Lendal Developments will source, secure and deliver development opportunities across a range of sectors, with a priority focus on care.
Alongside Lane as chairman are a team hired from Torsion Care: managing director Chris Burns, Megan Sadler as senior development manager, management accountant Ebony Ceesay.
Among the pipeline Lendal Developments will deliver will be projects for Burghley Care.
Chris Burns, managing director of Lendal Developments, said: “Lendal Developments already has a strong pipeline in place.
“Beyond that, we see a significant opportunity to work with other partners to identify, secure and deliver high-quality development opportunities across a range of sectors.
“Our approach is about finding the right sites in the right locations and then working closely with our partners from the outset to deliver sustainable, well-designed developments.”
Chris Lane, chairman of Lendal Developments and Burghley Care, said: “I have spent many years working in the care sector and throughout that time my focus has always been on providing high-quality care and creating places where residents can feel safe and well supported.
“As Burghley Care continues to grow, Lendal Developments gives us the development capability to support that expansion, while also creating a business that can work more widely both with other care operators and cross-sector.
“With Chris and Megan, we have assembled an experienced team with the expertise to build on the pipeline already in place and establish Lendal Developments as a strong development partner within the care sector and beyond.”
