Brenntag expands in Leeds

Landlord Hillview Real Estate has signed a lease with the chemicals group for 6,200 sq ft of office and lab space at Lawnswood Business Park.

Brenntag UK, a subsidiary of Brenntag SE, has taken the ground floor of Alexandra House on an eight-year lease, adding the space to the 14,000 sq ft it occupies at neighbouring Alpha House for its UK headquarters.

Lawnswood Business Park, in North Leeds, was acquired by regional office inestor Hillview Real Estate in December 2018 for Hillview Partners Property Fund II.

Hillview said that during its ownership period, the firm has implemented extensive asset management initiatives to enhance amenities and sustainability features across the 150,000 sq ft estate.

This, it said, has led to an occupancy level of 96%, excluding the 36,394 sq ft Lawnswood House, the revamp of which only completed in March.

Tenants at the park include Brenntag, Equinti, Handelsbanken, Aramak and Wizu Workspace.

The letting agents at the park are WSB and JLL.

Dom Ketteringham, asset manager at Hillview Real Estate, said: “The expansion of Brenntag’s lease at Lawnswood Business Park demonstrates the sustained strong occupier demand for high-quality and strategically located workspace near Leeds city centre and endorses our regional office strategy.”
