- SABINE DUNSTAN, CAPITAL&CENTRIC | In addition to their own new HQ, Sabine is leading the delivery of Civic, the first of its kind workspace in Wigan Town Centre. In partnership with Wigan Council, Capital&Centric are raising the bar with design-led, sustainable workspace aimed at fostering innovation & collaboration.
- JOE RIGBY, CBRE | Joe has recently been appointed managing director for CBRE’S Northern business, overseeing the Manchester, Liverpool & Leeds offices. Joe has been with CBRE for 10 years, holding several leadership roles during that time, including acting as North head of occupier services & head of office agency. In recent months Rigby has advised occupiers on several high-profile deals in Manchester including Pinsent Masons and S&P Global, both acquiring space at Relentless’ St Michaels development.
- DAN PODESTA, CIVIC ENGINEERS | Dan Podesta is an associate director & structural engineer at Civic Engineers, the structural, civil & transport engineering consultancy creating inspirational structures & places that have a positive impact on the environment and enable people to lead happier & healthier lives. Dan has extensive experience in the design & delivery of listed building refurbishment, retrofit & new build developments, including the transformation of Wigan’s civic centre & Park Hill in Sheffield.
- AIDAN THATCHER, WIGAN COUNCIL | Aidan is director of place at Wigan Council & he has a wealth of experience including progressing and delivering multi-million pound regeneration schemes together with attracting significant inward investment into place making. Aidan’s approach is pro-active and solution focused to bring about regeneration & place making change that delivers tangible benefits to the industry whilst also benefiting the local community.
- JAY PATEL, SAVILLS |Jay is a director in the Savills planning team based in Manchester. Jay is a town planner with over 25 years’ experience working in both public & private sectors. Before joining Savills, Jay worked for Deloitte (formerly Drivers Jonas) where he advised on a range of complex planning projects across the North West. Prior to this he worked for several years in the public sector during which time he gained extensive experience of local authority development control. During his career, Jay has advised on a number of high-profile office schemes across the North West including both new build & retrofit.
- PHILIP SCOTT, SCHRODERS CAPITAL | Philip is head of Manchester, leading a team of 10 real estate professionals who manage key city centre holdings including City Tower, No. 1 Spinningfields, St Ann’s House & 340 Deansgate. He is responsible for growing the regional platform & is directly responsible for the management of a c. £700m core portfolio of direct real estate on behalf of Greater Manchester Pension Fund. His current focus is to re-deploy c. £160m of capital raised from the sale of a central London office building in 2022, into performance accretive assets such as core offices, industrial, retail warehousing and alternatives in order to enhance the defensive qualities and liquidity of the portfolio by stabilising future income.
- MARK SIDEBOTHAM, PRACTICE DIRECTOR | Mark runs shedkm’s Liverpool studio & works across a variety of sectors including education, health, commercial, culture & private/public residential. Mark has led many of shedkm’s regeneration projects in both the residential & commercial sectors including Crusader Works & Kampus in Manchester & Littlewoods in Liverpool. He is currently leading on the design of ‘Haus’, a new affordable housing typology for towns and rural areas. Mark runs the company’s policy development in sustainability, in both its outputs & operations, & several internal specialist sub-groups across the practice. He champions the practice’s approach to B Corp accreditation & 2030/Architects Declare.
- LEE TREANOR, HBD | Lee holds a national role dealing with all workspace projects within HBD’s urban regen division. In addition to the development project work, Lee heads up HBD’s ESG Strategy Group, which drives the company’s sustainability agenda. Lee is currently leading on the delivery of Island, a 100,000 sq ft Net Zero Carbon speculative new build office & the design of Colloco, a 200,000 sq ft Net Zero Carbon new build office project. Lee is also part of the Golden Valley delivery team, a new cyber innovation district in Cheltenham that will deliver 1m sq ft of commercial space & 1000 new low energy homes.
