UKREiiF sold to French company
Infopro Digital has purchased Built Environment Networking, the organisation behind the annual property convention in Leeds.
This is not the first foray into events for Infopro Digital, which also runs the French trade show SIMI. SIMI brings in 26,000 attendees and, according to a press release, “has strong similarities to UKREiiF” because of its attraction to investors, developers, and public authorities.
Infopro has been growing its UK operations over the past few years, acquiring Barbour ABI in 2021. It also owns Risk.net and automotive manual company Haynes. The company has five offices in the country and more than 450 employees.
Christophe Czajka, founder and executive chairman of Infopro Digital, shared why UKREiiF was an appealing acquisition for the firm.
“UKREiiF has become a key event for the real estate, property and infrastructure communities in a short time,” he said.
“We admired how it achieved this by offering relevant content, high-quality networking and a great delegate experience. We also recognise the huge efforts it made to support equality, diversity and inclusion.”
With the Infopro takeover, Nathan Spencer has taken on the role of managing director at UKREiiF.
Spencer said: “We have a long-serving team who’ve worked on UKREiiF, all of whom have been instrumental in creating, delivering and growing UKREiiF to what it is today – and we cannot wait to kickstart the next phase of our journey alongside Infopro Digital.”
The next UKREiiF will take place 20-22 May 2025 in Leeds.
