ADT lands Henry Boot fit-out

The property group has appointed ADT Workplace to deliver its new 12,800 sq ft headquarters at the Isaacs Building in Sheffield city centre.

In a move from its long-term home at Banner Cross Hall announced earlier this year. Henry Boot is taking space across three floors of the refurbished Isaacs Building, and will move later this year.

The Isaacs Building, on Charles Street within the Heart of the City development, was built in 1904-05 and has been revamped to offer more than 38,000 sq ft of office space.

Ahead of ADT Workplace’s appointment, design studio Incognito completed an in-depth workplace consultancy process including stakeholder engagement and design workshops to develop the brief and detailed concept design.

ADT Workplace has then supported the design process with project tours and additional design workshops to inform the fit-out stage, which will now be delivered over the coming months.

The Heart of the City development as a whole will provide 1.5m sq ft of new and repurposed buildings surrounded by enlivened streets and public spaces, including a new urban park for the city.

The Isaacs Building has been connected to Sheffield’s District Energy Network, providing low-cost, sustainable energy.

Tim Roberts, chief executive of Henry Boot, said: “After 90 years at Banner Cross Hall this move is a significant one and we consider it to be of incredible importance for our new Head Office in Sheffield to feel like a fresh and ambitious step forward, providing us with a new environment that encourages greater collaboration and cohesiveness across Henry Boot’s diverse network of teams.

“We are confident that with the diligent and thoughtful approach of ADT Workplace, The Isaacs Building will prove to be the ideal headquarters fit for the long-term future of Henry.”

George Tilbury, commercial manager at ADT, said: “Working with Henry Boot over the last 12 months has provided us with real insight into their people’s wants and needs, and business processes, which has enabled us to develop a bespoke workplace design which will deliver tangible benefits for the organisation.

“This isn’t simply a change in office location to a fantastic redevelopment in the heart of Sheffield, this is an evolution of the way in which the Henry Boot team works, collaborates, and develops as a team, and we’re really excited to see the project come to fruition over the coming weeks.”
