Persimmon submits plans for 150 Pickering homes

The development in the North Yorkshire town will be located on Firthland Road and have 35% affordable housing.

The planning application indicates a mix of two- to four-bedroom houses will be built, in a ‘landscape-led’ design that prioritises well-connected green spaces and utilises existing features on the site, such as the hedgerows.

Graham Whiteford, planning director at Persimmon Yorkshire said: “With the need for new housing rightly high up the political agenda, we’re working hard to play our part in delivering new homes for first-time buyers, families and down-sizers alike.

“We look forward to engaging with residents, North Yorkshire Council and local stakeholders on these exciting plans.”
