Honey secures permission for 128-home Rossington estate
The Sheffield-based housebuilder will build the two- to five-bed homes off West End Lane, close to the M18, with work expected to start this month and the first homes ready by November.
Honey acquired the 10-acre site in Rossington from land and property regeneration company Harworth Group.
As well as plans for the new homes, the masterplan for the area also includes a new medical centre, public spaces, and communal amenities.
The development, known as Olive, will feature 17 of Honey’s house type designs, including terraced, semi-detached, and detached.
The housebuilder is backed by private equity firm Alchemy Partners and its Alchemy Special Opportunities Fund IV which has £937m of fully committed capital.
Honey chief executive officer, Mark Mitchell, commented: “There is significant demand for high-specification new homes in Rossington from buyers in the local area, which our Olive development will meet.
“The development will provide a range of thoughtfully designed homes that combine style, substance, and sustainability that are unmatched at their price point.
“With planning now granted, we look forward to getting started on site and welcoming our first residents to this growing community in Rossington.”
Chris Davidson, regional director for Yorkshire & Central at Harworth Group, said: “Interest in this parcel from housebuilders was incredibly strong which demonstrates the continued demand for Harworth’s serviced residential land.
“The continued regeneration of this scheme will add to an already thriving community, bringing additional housing and services to the local community whilst also providing extensive green space and landscaping to be enjoyed and enhance biodiversity.”
