Countrylarge tries again in Leeds

A deferred decision on the developer’s 18-storey, 164-apartment South Bank scheme is recommended for approval next week.

The Sayner Lane development will have to provide eight affordable homes and make a open space donation of £150,000, among other S106 contributions.

The site already has consent, secured by another developer, for 150 flats over 16 storeys, however a decision on this project was deferred earlier this month, following concerns about affordable housing and green space.

Designed by Corstorphine & Wright, a bridging loan from specialist lender Together allowed Countrylarge to buy the plot in October 2023.
