And finally… Premier hits 500 mark
East Yorkshire offsite manufacturer Premier Modular has delivered its 500th retail kiosk for shoe repair and key cutting brand Timpson.
As the sole – apologies, pun intended – supplier of modular retail kiosks to Timpson, Premier Modular has now delivered 91,460 sq ft of retail space, equivalent, it said, to just over the size of Hull FC’s pitch – a novel take on the “football pitches as a unit of measurement” trope.
The purpose-built kiosks are instantly recognisable at supermarkets across the UK, fitted with specialist equipment for key cutting, shoe repairs and dry-cleaning drop offs. The modular nature of the kiosks also provides Timpson – acknowledged as a genuine force for good in UK retail and beyond – with the flexibility and agility to move the kiosks easily as they evolve to customer needs.
David Harris, chief executive of Premier Modular, said: “Providing our 500th kiosk for Timpson isn’t just a manufacturing milestone, it’s a celebration of trust and teamwork. From the very first order, our collaboration has helped to demonstrate what’s possible with modular in retail. We’re extremely privileged to work with such a values-led and innovative business, and to be such an integral part of their journey.”
In recent news, Premier Modular has been reappointed as a supplier on a leading national healthcare procurement framework, the NHS Shared Business Services Modular Buildings 3 Framework Agreement until 2029.
