Plans in for 205-home Nunthorpe scheme

Story Homes has submitted an application to Middlesbrough Council for the development, which will deliver three- to six-bed properties on land at Nunthorpe Grange.

A decision is expected by winter, with the housebuilder expected to make a donation to local education and an off-site affordable housing contribution.

Open green space and landscaping will, of course, be included, alongside new footpaths and cycle lanes, and a new access point will be located to the south of the site.

Amanda Stephenson, head of land for Story Homes North East, said: “Nunthorpe is a highly desirable location with a strong sense of community, and we’re proud to bring forward proposals that not only deliver much-needed homes but also enhance local amenities and green infrastructure.

“Our plans are focused on creating a vibrant, sustainable and well-connected neighbourhood that fits seamlessly with the existing character of the area. We look forward to working closely with Middlesbrough Council and local stakeholders as our application progresses.”
