YORhub confirms eight framework contractors

The £1bn YORcivil Major Works 2 programme will cover major infrastructure projects across Yorkshire and the Humber, and will be managed by East Yorkshire Council and Sheffield City Council.

The search for contractors was launched in February, and now it’s been confirmed that Galliford Try, John Graham Construction, John Sisk, and Aueos Infrastructure all returning to the mix.

Joining the group is Esh Construction, BAM Nuttall, Octavius Infrastructure, and Jackson Civil Engineering.

Firms that didn’t return to the framework this time include Balfour Beatty, Morgan Sindall, Tarmac Farrens, and Tilbury Douglas Construction.

The aim for the framework is to have a strong pipeline for infrastructure projects valued at more than £10m, such as bridges, highways, flood defences, coastal works, and drainage schemes.

It replaces the current YORcivil Major Works deal that expires in December.
