Scotland to make MIPIM comeback with Place in 2026
Having not attended the global property expo since 2019, a consortium of private sector partners has teamed up with Place Media Group to facilitate the country’s return to Cannes next year.
MLA, PMP, Robertson, Drum Property, Saffery, Brodies, OOBE, and Civic have recognised the importance of attending MIPIM for Scotland’s development industry and have mobilised, in partnership with Place Media Group, to create a delegation.
Together, they will advocate for investment in Scotland’s towns and cities – providing a spotlight on the area’s most exciting projects and a platform for the public and private sectors to work together.
The result is Scotland at MIPIM, a collaborative, community-driven offering geared towards giving Scotland a prominent spot on the international stage.
Support Scotland at MIPIM
“As a founding sponsor of Scotland at MIPIM, we are financially backing Scotland’s place on this world stage,” said Stewart Rutherford, managing director of PMP.
“It is critical that investment opportunities are showcased and given the platform that Scotland deserves.”
Hazel Pearson, director at MLA, added: “We want to take a collaborative approach to Scotland’s return to MIPIM. Leveraging Scotland’s reputation for innovation and rich architectural heritage, we can maximise this opportunity to attract further investment.
“It’s evident that investing in architecture and the built environment has the potential to stimulate long-term economic growth in Scotland. Let’s harness the power we have when we work together.”

The launch of Scotland at MIPIM comes seven months ahead of MIPIM 2026 and follows an event held in Glasgow earlier this year where the idea of a Scottish delegation was discussed by a group of senior property experts.
The Leader of Glasgow City Council, Cllr Susan Aitken, was also in attendance. She made clear her view that the city, and Scotland as a whole, should be at MIPIM.
Dino Moutsopoulos, managing partner at Place Media Group, said: “Following the success of The North of England’s debut at MIPIM in 2025, Place Media Group is very proud to have been asked to create a delegation and set of profile-raising and investment opportunities for Scotland.
“I would like to congratulate Hazel Pearson and Stewart Rutherford for setting the wheels in motion and driving the return of Scotland to the international stage. Place Media Group is genuinely delighted and excited to have been asked to make this a reality.”
He added: “Our reach, experience, and connections – when combined with our agreements with RX/MIPIM – give Scottish businesses, cities, and towns plentiful opportunity to secure investment, grow profile, and ultimately build a better built environment. We look forward to expanding the delegation and creating more opportunities over the coming months.”
