East Riding grants Market Weighton go-ahead
York-headquartered Persimmon can proceed with Bradley Park, comprising close to 200 homes on a former pig farm off Holme Road, allocated for housing in the local plan.
Persimmon’s plans for 193 homes have full consent. The firm expects construction will commence in the next few months.
Bradley Park development will consist of homes ranging from bungalows, of which there will be eight, and houses of up to four bedrooms.
All homes will be fitted with EV chargers in a development that also offers 2.2 acres of public open space, including a children’s play area. Persimmon’s contribution to local infrastructure improvements will amount to around £750,000, including £366,921 towards outdoor sports and £320,000 towards primary education.
Joel Frank, land director at Persimmon Homes Yorkshire, said: “This project not only delivers high-quality new homes but also contributes significant investment into the local community.
“We are excited to work with local stakeholders and East Riding of Yorkshire Council to bring this vision to life for local homebuyers.”
