Resi plans for Sheffield landmark

Urban Front Reality has submitted plans to convert a historic building that straddles the Sheffield and Tinsley Canal at Victoria Quays into apartments.

The project team includes Sheffield architect Five Seventy Three, consultants Made it Together, surveyors Eddisons, and Schofield Associates.

Named ‘The Straddle’, the conversion would consist of 27 apartments, with one-, two-, and three-bed options.

The grade two-listed former grain warehouse was built in the 1880s and has been empty since 2021.

Previously, the building was used as offices from the 1990s onwards.

No affordable housing has been proposed.
