Zenko adds two to build on Graphical House move
Having moved to the eyecatching Leeds office building this summer, the city centre-focused residential sales and letting firm has hired Lisa Dennett and Faye Batty.
Zenko Properties committed to around 1,200 sq ft in the recently refurbished building amid a raft of deals in June, taking a space three times the size of its previous base.
Between them, Dennett and Batty have more than 20 years’ combined experience of the city centre residential market. Dennett joins as maintenance manager and senior property manager, and Batty as property manager.
Managing director and founder Tobias Duczenko said: “We have been based on The Calls since 2015, when we were appointed to sell the apartments at The Chandlers, but as the business has grown and we’ve recruited more people, we have outgrown the space.
“Expanding into Graphical House was the logical next step, with room for 12 desks, a board room, a welcome area for clients, as well as a breakout area with a kitchen for our team, it’s ideal. There’s also the potential to take more space in the building as we grow.
“We are delighted to welcome Lisa and Faye to our team and are really looking forward to putting the new office through its paces.”
Zenko Properties currently manages 500 properties including prominent city centre developments, Lamberts Yard, Spencer House and Devonshire House.
Partner Jonathan Morgan said: “Over the last few years we have seen significant rental growth in the city centre market, driven largely by the post lockdown boom, whereby two years’ worth of demand effectively bumped into one, along with a lack of stock.
“Some rents have grown by as much as 25%, which is unprecedented in this timescale. 2023 saw strong rental demand right up until Christmas, before cooling off, with a slowdown in enquiry numbers and then rental growth has returned to more sustainable levels in 2024.”
Graphical House is well known for its distinctive contemporary artwork on the building’s exterior by Mr Penfold, as part of the In Good Company project, commissioned by the building’s owner, King & Co. The June deals took the building to 75% full.
