Wykeland’s @TheDock reaches full occupancy

The final 11,000 sq ft building at the tech campus in Hull’s Fruit Market area has been let to coatings manufacturer Vuba.

Vuba, a UK leader in hi-tech, permeable surfacing solutions, is relocating its headquarters from Beverley, East Yorkshire, and is taking the entire building.

PPH Commercial was the letting agent on the deal.

The move will accelerate the company’s digital growth, with plans to expand a team comprising digital marketers, social media and content creators, videographers, and website developers.

This follows a decade of investment by Wykeland that started with the creation of the Centre for Digital Innovation, a pioneer scheme that opened in 2015.

The @TheDock campus was completed in 2023 and comprises five buildings designed by The Harris Partnership.

Wykeland intended @TheDock to bring together a disparate tech sector in the city, and act as a cornerstone in the regeneration of the Fruit Market area.

Wykeland property director Neil Riseham said: “A key driver behind Vuba’s move is to connect with @TheDock’s established and thriving tech community.

“Being close to C4DI and within the wider development will accelerate Vuba’s product development and innovation, helping to maintain their leading position in the industry.”
