Waverley’s Olive Lane 80% let at practical completion

The high street at Harworth’s new neighbourhood has 11 retail units and a medical centre, with three still available ahead of the opening in summer.

Knight Frank is handling the lettings, with Tesco being confirmed as one of the outlets.

The high street will serve the community of 1,700 homes, which will rise to 3,000 by 2029.

Waverley is made up of homes built by Avant, Taylor Wimpey, Sky-House, Barratt Homes and Harron Homes.

The site is currently expanding at a rate of around 160 homes per year with strong sales reported by all housebuilders.

The neighbouring Advanced Manufacturing Park will deliver 2m sq ft of commercial space once fully built out and is already home to some of the world’s biggest manufacturers including Rolls-Royce, Boeing and McLaren Automotive as well as the UK Atomic Energy Authority.

Kitty Hendrick, from the Sheffield office of Knight Frank, said: “Olive Lane is a really positive story, not only for the Waverley community but for the region.

“We are now just over 80% under offer/let and the units have only just reached practical completion.”

Michael Jameson, senior asset manager at Harworth said: “Harworth is delighted to bring Olive Lane to life, a development which will become the new mixed use heart of the Waverley Community.”
