Victoria Quarter snags another outside-of-London first

Wax London has opened its 2,400 sq ft unit at the premium retail destination in Leeds, the fourth brand to do so following Byredo, Nobody’s Child, and Tumi.

Lunson Mitchenall and Central Retail represented owner and operator Redical, and Stephen Kane & Co acted for Wax London.

The British menswear brand will sit alongside Barbour and Mulberry and has designed the store to be a physical showcase of its outlook, including design details such as customised Wax London fabric curtains in the changing rooms, oversized mirrors, and aged-brass shelving units.

Rachel Bradburn, head of leasing at Redical: “Wax London is the latest in a long line of exceptional brands to call Victoria Leeds the home of its first store outside of London.

“Marking a pivotal point in the brand’s expansion, Wax London’s northern debut adds even more vibrancy and choice to our historic Victoria Quarter, building on our growing premium menswear offer.”

Roger Wightman, managing director at Wax London said: “I’m so excited to open our first store outside of London.

“Leeds has always been a key destination for us, and I’m really pleased with how the space has come together.

“Every detail of the store was carefully considered to reflect who we are as a brand – from the materials and finishes to the atmosphere we created.

“It’s a place where people can truly experience the essence of Wax London, brought to life through design, quality, and craft.”
