Tony Shaw forges ahead
The former managing director of Henry Boot has joined construction management firm Forge as operations director.
Shaw has more than four decades of experience in the industry, starting out as an apprentice at Henry Boot and steadily rising through the ranks.
During his time as managing director at Henry Boot, he oversaw flagship schemes such as Sheffield’s Heart of the City and The Glass Works in Barnsley.
Now, Forge has snapped him up as it targets expansion across the North of England and the Midlands, building on its strongest pipeline since its inception in 2019.
Shaw also serves as chair of the Sheffield branch of Interact, a not-for-profit networking organisation promoting collaboration in the property and construction sectors and is a non-executive director of the National Federation of Builders.
Forge has had an annual growth rate of 28% since it was established, acting on behalf of clients to coordinate trade contractors and deliver high-value projects.
Operating from offices in Sheffield, Nottingham, Leeds, and Lincolnshire, Forge shares workspace with its sister company EDGE consultancy and has a track record in the retail and residential sectors, for customers such as Aldi.
